​Dr. Alexander S. W. Law

Chairman of Yu Tai Hing Company Limited and CTL Group

 

Dr. Alexander S. W. Law, the Chairman of Yu Tai Hing Company Limited and CTL Group, was born in Hong Kong whose native place is in Panyu, Guangdong Province.

 

Dr. Law is a registered architect in Hong Kong and established the S. W. Law & Associates Architects & Development Consultants Ltd. in 1984. He advocates the revitalization of historical and heritage buildings. He has completed over 150 projects including hotels, residential and commercial buildings in Hong Kong, mainland China, and the USA. He also founded the CTL Group in 2001, which operates a chain of boutique hotels and elderly services in Hong Kong as well as in mainland China, including Panyu, Guangzhou and Yantai, Shandong.

 

Dr. Law holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carleton University in Canada and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the City University of Hong Kong. In 2023, he was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities by the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong and was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Science in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the fields of architecture and academia, as well as his contributions to Hong Kong society.

 

Dr. Law is actively involved in social services and education. He serves as an Independent Manager for TWGHs Sun Hoi Directors' College and TWGHs. Lo Yu Chik Primary School. He is also dedicated to public welfare in his hometown of Panyu, Guangzhou, serving as the chairman of Hong Kong Pan Yu Industrial and Commercial Fellowship Association and the Hong Kong Pan Yu Shi Qi Town and Da Long Street (Overseas) Fraternity Association. In recognition of his remarkable contribution to China, Dr. Law was appointed as a member of the 12th & 13th Panyu District Committee Member of The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and was awarded the title of Guangzhou Honorary Citizen in 2000.
